What is WishDaily?
A daily devotional and festival app for India, on iPhone and Android. It has two tabs: Videos, a feed of short greeting videos made fresh every day, and Photos, where you turn a selfie into a stylised portrait. WishDaily is made by Goodmorrow Technologies Private Limited, Bangalore.
What is in the Videos tab?
Short greeting videos for festivals, such as Navratri (with each day’s form of Durga) and Diwali; for deities, including Ganesha, Hanuman, Krishna, Shiva, Lakshmi, Ram, Saraswati, Durga, Surya, Sai Baba and Vishnu; and for good morning, good night and motivation. Which languages are the greetings in?
Hindi and English. Each video carries its greeting as text: often a mantra, the greeting itself and a short line of blessing.
How often is there something new?
Every day. New videos arrive in the feed each morning, with the day’s festival or deity first.
How do I share a video on WhatsApp?
Open a video and tap share. You can post it to your WhatsApp status or send it into a chat or group.
What does the Photos tab do?
Take a selfie and pick a curated look: festival portraits, heritage and studio looks, and art styles such as Madhubani, the vintage Bollywood poster or a royal Rajasthani studio. WishDaily makes a stylised portrait of you in that look. See the looks.
Do I need an account?
You can browse the videos without one. Sign in with your phone number to make portraits in Photos.
Can I save a video to my phone?
Yes. Once you add your photo, each video in the feed has Download, to save it to your phone, next to Share. You can always open a video and share it to WhatsApp.
Is WishDaily on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Get it from the App Store or Google Play.
Can I use the videos for my business?
The videos are for personal sharing with friends and family, on WhatsApp and your own social accounts. Commercial use needs our written permission; see the Terms of Service.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, or by email if you can’t get into the app. The steps are on Delete your account.
